THE STORY
We were drawn to this land for its quiet.
Long before us, it was home to my grandparents. They raised their family here—and in time, I raised mine here as well. The land has held more than one generation, each leaving something behind while allowing it to remain largely itself.
Tucked just minutes from downtown Sylva and Dillsboro, yet feeling entirely removed, the property sits across from the Tuckasegee River— where the pace slows and the landscape begins to open up.
Over time, what stood out wasn’t just what the land is…
but what it could become.
Multiple homesites. A natural spring. Existing infrastructure already in place.
It’s the kind of property that invites vision.
For us, that vision once took the shape of a small campground and river outpost. A place for others to experience what we had come to appreciate here. Life eventually led us in different directions, but it never changed how we felt about the land itself.
We’ve always thought of ourselves less as owners and more as stewards; spending time here, planting trees, walking its trails, and taking quiet pride in its care.
Our hope is simple: that the next person who finds this place will see something in it as well—and carry that same sense of care forward.
